Seedream 5.0 Pro

flymyai/bytedance-seedream-5_0_pro creates an image from a prompt or edits an image supplied as a reference. Use image and, when needed, image1 through image9 for up to ten references. Each request returns one image.

From an assistant

Ask: "Use Seedream 5.0 Pro to change this portrait's background to blue and keep the face, hair and clothing."

Your connected assistant reads get_model_schema, checks get_pricing, then calls run_model with the reference and your prompt. For a different checker setting, explicitly ask for enable_safety_checker=false.

API options

Input	What it does
prompt	The scene or edit to apply.
image, image1 ... image9	Optional reference images. Supply an image for an edit.
size	2k by default, or a size from the live schema such as 1536x1536 or 2048x2048.
watermark	Defaults to false.
enable_safety_checker	Defaults to true. Explicit false chooses the alternate image route.
optimize_prompt_mode	standard by default. fast is available only when the checker is enabled.

The checker setting applies to both text-to-image and edits. It does not guarantee acceptance of every prompt. Read the returned status and error.

Run an edit

The model API accepts multipart form data. Use a public HTTPS reference URL or upload a local image as a file. Keep the API key in your environment.

/predict returns a streamed response with an image result. For asynchronous submission and polling, see Model Endpoints. From the Models MCP, run_model returns a downloadable result URL with its expiry time.

Pricing

With the checker enabled, the current listed price is $0.045 at the smaller size choices and $0.09 at 2K. With the checker disabled, one rendered image costs $0.0495 up to 2.61 MP or $0.099 above that. Personal discounts can change your charge. Call get_pricing for the current table before submitting.

The live contract is openapi.json. Pro supports up to 2K and one output per request; it has no 3K, 4K or batch output option.
